Automation Industry Applications

Polishing wheels are used in the automation industry to improve safety, quality, and consistency of polished products. The use of polishing wheels in the automation industry has increased in recent years due to their flexibility and large workspace. The Acme Corporation uses a fixed, abrasive polishing wheel for robot polishing. The robot holds the workpiece and moves it into contact with the spinning abrasive. They have used this method for polishing metal bars, wheels, and door handles. Paradigm Electronics uses a UR10 cobot with a custom polishing end effector for speaker buffing. The robot’s force control ensured that excessive force was not applied to the surface, which would heat and damage the lacquer. An abrasive is run over the material, making it smoother, shinier, and sometimes more sanitary. In the past, there were only two real options for polishing in manufacturing: manual polishing and autonomous polishing machines. Manual polishing involves using a power tool and running it over the surface of the material by hand. It is a very common approach but can cause musculoskeletal problems and the quality can vary wildly. Autonomous polishing machines are like CNC machines with polishing tools instead of machining tools. Each machine is suited to a particular polishing process. Recently, robots have become increasingly more popular for polishing tasks due to their flexibility and large workspace. They are also easy to reprogram for completely new tasks (not necessarily polishing tasks) which would be impossible for an autonomous polishing machine.

We are supplying buffing wheels to many Automotive OEM’s across India and Abord.

Mainly used for Polishing Roof Rails, Edge trims, Head and Tail lights, Alloy wheels, Piston rods and pins etc.

There are wide variety of buff wheels required as per different application.

Airway buffs are most common type of buffs used in most of the polishing application.

We also provide Non-woven flap brushes for satin finish requirement of the industry.
